Kate Long Marchetti Memorial Scholarship
Kate was a 2015 graduate of Frisco High School, where she competed on the varsity golf team. Kate was
well known and friendly to all she met and went out of her way to exhibit kindness on a daily basis,
particularly to those fellow students who were either bullied or marginalized. Kate attended the
University of Arkansas where she was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority. She loved her
Razorbacks, WPS!!
Kate passed away in an automobile accident on June 27 th , 2019, at the age of 22. She is survived by her
parents, Rick and Leslie, and her sisters, Emma and Ava. She is also survived by many friends who miss
her and have helped donate to this scholarship fund in her name.
We honor Kate, and her memory, by providing this scholarship through the Kate Long Marchetti
Memorial Sunflower Open Golf tournament, and the FISD each year. It would make Kate very proud and
very happy to be able to help a fellow Frisco resident achieve their dream of attending college.
